and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
100 years of Brownies and Guides
One hundred years of Brownies and Guides is no small thing – and it absolutely deserves a proper celebration. Whether you've been involved with Girlguiding for decades or you just have fond memories of earning badges and going on camps, this is a moment worth marking together as a community.
We're throwing open the doors of Longton Central Hall on Saturday 7th November 2026 for an afternoon of celebration from 2.30 until 4.00 pm. It's going to be a warm, relaxed get-together – exactly the kind of afternoon where you can catch up with old friends, share a few stories, and maybe dig out a photo or two from years gone by.
There'll be tea and cake on hand, so come ready to sit down, slow down, and enjoy a proper chat. Events like this are a lovely reminder of how much these organisations have shaped the lives of so many young people across Stoke-on-Trent over the years – and how that spirit of friendship and service carries on long into adulthood.
Everyone is welcome, so please do come along and join us. Spread the word to anyone you know who's been part of Brownies or Guides – past members, leaders, families, and friends. The more the merrier, and it promises to be a really special afternoon.
You are very welcome
Whether you are exploring faith, returning to church, or simply looking for a local Methodist community, we would love to help you find a church near you.
