A warm welcome awaits anyone who wants to visit our small, friendly church.
We stand in the heart of the village, next to the primary school on Leek Road. There has been a church on this site since 1865 and was called Leigh Memorial Methodist Church, after Rev Samuel Leigh who was born in Milton but left to become the first Methodist Missionary to Australia and New Zealand. The modern premises were built in 1997 after the original building became unsafe and beyond repair.
During the year we hold special services at Easter, Harvest, Remembrance Day, and Christmas. We support the local foodbank with special collections at Easter, Harvest and Christmas. We enjoy several social events to which the whole community is invited.
Following COVID, we invited our local school, community, councillors and MP to come and plant daffodils in memory of those family and friends who had been affected by the virus and each year we now have a wonderful heart of daffodils blooming as a reminder. (see photo in gallery).
